December 2011 Level Testing

A huge congratulations to all of our students that tested (and passed) this year end's Level Testing. Your hard work and dedication to your training was evident throughout your testing. Everyone did a wonderful job and Second Master Feng and I are very proud of each of you.

Additionally, this year we had 24, yes 24, students move up the rank to Kung Fu Student. This was, by far, our largest group moving up to the next level. Words cannot express just how proud we are of each of you. It is because of your desire to train hard that you were successful. Below is a list of all the students who moved up to the next level. Closing and Opening Remarks

Happy New Year Students and Parents!

Now that I'm back from China, I wanted to officially make some closing remarks on our 2011 school year.  2011 was probably the best year for our school so far.  

First, we welcomed Second Master Feng to our school curriculum this past March.  His arrival has enabled our school to move successfully forward towards our path of long-term growth.  I am very happy to have him here and thank you all for your warm and respectful welcome.  Second Master Feng is very honored and happy to be here in the US teaching all of you.

Secondly, this year we had a total of 28 students move up the next rank to Kung Fu Student.  This is a huge honor for not only the students but also for us as your Masters.  We are very proud of each and every one of you and cannot wait for the next wave of students to move up the ranks.  I want to congratulate all of you again on your achievement of being promoted to Kung Fu Student:

Both Second Master Feng and myself hope you all had a safe and happy holiday season and a wonderful New Year's.  2011 ended with a bang now let's start 2012 off on the same foot. 

Since there wasn't enough time to have Christmas party last year, Second Master Feng and I would like to throw a Chinese (Pot Luck) New Year's party!!  We will have the party on Sunday, January 22nd from 5 - 8:00pm.  A sign-up sheet will be available at the school tomorrow and additional details will follow so please stay tuned...

I hope you all rested and enjoyed yourselves this holiday season because now it's time to get back to your training.  Be ready to train harder this year!

Holiday School Closure

Happy Holidays Students!

Please be aware that our school will be closed for Christmas and New Year's from December 17th - January 2nd. Classes will resume on Tuesday, January 3rd.

Thanksgiving Closure Tomorrow and Friday

Good afternoon students and parents,

I wanted to let you know that school will be closed for Thanksgiving tomorrow and Friday.   

I would also like to take the time to share what Second Master Feng and I are thankful for this Thanksgiving...

While we are thankful for all the many blessings in our life, we are also thankful for having such dedicated and respectful students and very supportive parents.  I believe our school is successful because of such dedication and support from the students and parents.  We are also thankful for the privilege to be in this wonderful country and being able to enjoy all it has to offer.  Many friends have been made here and we consider that a blessing on its own.  We are also thankful for our family's love and support back home.  Without them, we wouldn't be the men that we are today.

Please feel free to share what you are thankful for this Thanksgiving.

2011 Dragon Boat Performance and Pictures

Hello again everyone!

I wanted to share some comments and photos from this year's Dragon Boat Festival Performance.  The host of the Dragon Boat Festival called me and gave me a huge compliment on our student's performance.  She said she as well as her staff were captivated by the talent of our students and all their hard work.  It's times like these that make me very proud to be your Master!

Anna's Birthday Bash

Hello Everyone!

I wanted to share some photos from Anna's birthday party that was held on Sunday, October 9th.  We celebrated her 7th birthday kung fu style.  (check out her cute Kung Fu Panda cake!)

Dragon Boat Performance THIS SATURDAY!

Greetings students!

I would like to remind you all that this weekend we will have a performance at the Dragon Boat Association Festival. 

Please arrive at the school by 2pm in full uniform.  We've been practing well enough and I know we are going to have an amazing performance!  The address to the event is below:

2011 International Dragon Boat Regatta Performance

Greetings Students!

I know it's been a while since I've posted anything on here but I wanted to let you all know that we have a performance coming up.  We will be performing in the following festival: 

8^th Annual Gulf Coast International Dragon 

Boat Regatta Saturday, October 22, 2011

We are scheduled to perform at 3:30pm, Saturday 22nd.  As such, we will begin practicing immediately. 

For those of you who performed last year, the stage and set-up will be the same.  For our first-time performers, I will give you all the information you need as we get closer to the event.
