2011 Dragon Boat Performance and Pictures

Hello again everyone!

I wanted to share some comments and photos from this year's Dragon Boat Festival Performance.  The host of the Dragon Boat Festival called me and gave me a huge compliment on our student's performance.  She said she as well as her staff were captivated by the talent of our students and all their hard work.  It's times like these that make me very proud to be your Master!

You all did very well in your performance and Second Master Feng and I are very proud of you all.  If you have any photos you would like to have posted up here, please email them to me and I'll be happy to add them.

Anna's Birthday Bash

Hello Everyone!

I wanted to share some photos from Anna's birthday party that was held on Sunday, October 9th.  We celebrated her 7th birthday kung fu style.  (check out her cute Kung Fu Panda cake!)

Dragon Boat Performance THIS SATURDAY!

Greetings students!

I would like to remind you all that this weekend we will have a performance at the Dragon Boat Association Festival. 

Please arrive at the school by 2pm in full uniform.  We've been practing well enough and I know we are going to have an amazing performance!  The address to the event is below:

2011 International Dragon Boat Regatta Performance

Greetings Students!

I know it's been a while since I've posted anything on here but I wanted to let you all know that we have a performance coming up.  We will be performing in the following festival: 

8^th Annual Gulf Coast International Dragon 

Boat Regatta Saturday, October 22, 2011

We are scheduled to perform at 3:30pm, Saturday 22nd.  As such, we will begin practicing immediately. 

For those of you who performed last year, the stage and set-up will be the same.  For our first-time performers, I will give you all the information you need as we get closer to the event.

Legends of Kung Fu Tournament Results

Greetings everyone!

It is with great pleasure that I announce the following students participated (and placed) in the Legends of Kung Fu Tournament in Dallas, Texas. 

Jenny Pless won 3 gold metals 

in the following competitions:

           Traditional Northern

              Traditional Sabre

              Traditional Staff

Ryan Landrito placed in the following competitions:

Gold -Traditional Sabre

Silver -Traditional Northern

Bronze - Traditional Staff





Carlos Carrillo won 2 gold medals in the
following competitions:

                    Traditional Staff
                Traditional Northern

Derek Fung won 2 gold medals in the
following competitions:

                    Traditional Staff
                Traditional Northern

 






Faez Kamal placed 2nd in the  
176-190 weight class.

David Hoffman placed 2nd in the 191-205lb weight class.

Please extend a huge congratulations to each of these students when you see them.  They all did exceptionally well and both 2nd Master Feng and I are very proud of them.  Great job, everyone!

Changes to New Class Schedule

Good evening students, 

Due to several requests we've had from parents, I've made some changes to the Wednesday and Friday class schedule. Please carefully look at our schedule as the Wednesday and Friday afternoon class times have moved down by 30 minutes. I hope these changes will work much better on everyone's schedule. 

Thank you to everyone who made the suggestions as my goal is to make a schedule that will work best for everyone.

NEW CLASS SCHEDULE

Attention Students/Parents:

I would like to let everyone know that our class schedule has changed.  Please visit our website to view the new schedule.  Changes to the schedule will go into effect Tuesday, August 2nd. We believe these changes will accommodate our students and parents more efficiently. 

Also, I am pleased to announce that we have now added Lion Dancing to our class curriculum.  Classes for Lion Dancing will be Saturdays and Sundays from 8-9pm.  Students wishing to participate in this new class should speak with me in advance for more information.
